When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
The Maldives has a tropical climate and its dry season runs from December to March, with the wetter, rainier monsoon season running from May to November. Visitor numbers peak during the dry season, with many people choosing a holiday in the Maldives as a place to get some winter sun. With mostly long, dry days, and the temperature hovering around 30 C, it’s a great time to visit. Outside of this time, you are still likely to get warm, pleasant, sunny days, although you may occasionally have to take shelter in your luxury cabin from a shower or two. You may also want to consider whether you’d like to visit during Ramadan in late June, when some restaurants, shops and hotel facilities may be closed
